Solar configuration
The "solar" section shows in a single space the energy produced by your solar panels, the total energy consumed in your house and balances with the mains at all times.
To use it, you need to have a system of photovoltaic production and place the measuring clamps as follows:
Clamp 1 ( "Mains") on the cable that connects the house with the electric network.
It is considered positive the electricity consumption from the network to the house. It is considered negative the energy export. If consumption and export are shown reversed you must flip the clamp.
Clamp 2 ( "Solar") at the output of the PV inverter.
It is considered positive the production of electricity from the PV panels to the house. Usually there is no "negative production" in PV. If the PV production is negative you should flip the clamp.
Once you have correctly installed the clamps, you must choose which channel you have installed solar clip. In case the PV generation comes from a three-phase inverter, it should be indicated that the PV generation is in channel 4 of the corresponding meter.
The graphical analysis shows the consumption and production of household electricity over time.
You can click on the chart legend to enable or disable data series. This is its meaning:
Total consumption:
Total energy consumed by the house. It is the sum of the imported from grid (purchased) plus part of the own PV production (self-produced).
Purchased energy:
Energy imported from the grid. It is the energy measured by the utility meter and the one billable.
Self production:
Part of the PV energy generated that has been used as own supply (and not exported).
% Percentage of self production:
Share of energy generated that has been used locally (degree of local utilization of PV system).
Generated energy:
Total energy produced by the PV system. One part is used locally and the rest is surplus.
Self consumption:
Part of the PV power generated that is consumed in the house itself (and not exported). It is the same as the self-production, from the point of view of consumption.
Exported energy:
Energy fed into the grid. It is part of PV generated that has not been used locally (surplus).
% Percentage of self consumption:
Share of total consumption that has been covered with own PV production (degree of independency from the network).
